Lauren Smith Hensgens, J.D., serves as P&N’s Corporate Counsel. With over 22 years of legal experience and 10 years of practical experience leading federal and state funded programs at P&N, Lauren joined the team as Corporate Counsel in 2023. Prior to joining the firm, Lauren was a partner at a Louisiana-based law firm and worked with Magistrate Judge Docia L. Dalby at the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana.
Lauren works with P&N’s leadership to evaluate risks across the Firm and within specific client engagements. She collaborates with Firm operations and project leaders to develop strong client, vendor, and subcontractor relationships and focuses on contract negotiation and compliance in all areas of practice. Lauren has extensive experience managing litigation by working with interested stakeholders and litigating cases arising from business and commercial matters, including contract disputes, consumer credit and privacy issues, unfair trade practices, and unfair competition.
