LaToya Johnson is a Project Manager in the P&N Consulting Services Group. She joined the firm July 2022. LaToya has over fourteen years of experience in FEMA Public Assistance Programs, HUD CDBG, 404 Hazard Mitigation, Risk Advisory and Operations Compliance, grants management and administration, procurement, and disaster recovery. LaToya Johnson has extensive experience working with the FEMA Public Assistance Program, as a team lead for natural disasters and the COVID-19 Pandemic. LaToya has a comprehensive understanding and ability to navigate multiple systems and software, including Louisiana, Florida, Virginia, and Texas Public Assistance Systems, Grants Portal, Emmie, SharePoint, and Engagement. LaToya has processed applications ensuring compliance with federal and state policies and procedures, provided training, and dealt with local, state, and federal representatives. LaToya also worked on Hurricane Sandy 404 Hazard Mitigation Program, where she assisted state agencies and local governmental entities with applying for funding to implement their mitigation plans. Most recently, she worked with the State of Illinois and the State of Virginia on their FEMA Public Assistance Programs for the COVID-19 Pandemic, helping with project development to setup state vaccination centers. LaToya understands the unique, complex disaster recovery program requirements and the importance around an efficient organizational structure with collaborative interagency relationships and internal collaboration that promotes transparency and accountability
