Daryl Porta, CPA, is an Associate Director in the P&N Accounting and Assurance Services Group. Daryl joined P&N in 1999 to serve as the Assistant Project Director on a large healthcare client audit engagement. She has over 37 years of experience in public accounting.
Daryl has also served as Project Director and Assistant Project Director for several audit services contracts. In these roles she is responsible for reviewing all audit workpapers and reports and direct supervision of the internal staff. She has developed and researched changes to the audit and desk review programs; participated in provider and staff training; assisted clients in informal reconsideration hearings and in other meetings with state officials. She has also consulted with the Department on issues such as provider fees, census, extraordinary costs and documentation standards; and conducted monthly meetings.
Additionally, Daryl has provided accounting and assurance services to governmental entities, commercial businesses, hospitals and financial institutions. In this capacity, she has directed the fieldwork for numerous engagements, reviewed the working papers prepared for the engagements and reviewed the reports issued. She has also participated in initial public offering engagements and performed consulting projects for a wide variety of clients.
