Brian J. Stagg, CPA, is a Director in Postlethwaite & Netterville's Tax Services Group. Brian joined the firm in 1971 and became a Director in 1976.
Brian has provided tax planning advice and compliance services to a variety of industries including oil and gas, insurance, real estate, professional services, farming and breeding, and others.
Brian has developed considerable knowledge regarding corporate taxation, individual taxation, partnership taxation, consolidated returns and real estate taxation. He assists his clients with planned and actual corporate business decisions. These areas include financial projections, valuation reviews, financial statement interpretation, budgeting, document analysis, acquisitions and sale planning. Additionally, he also assists clients with decisions in structuring business ventures in appropriate legal entities. His involvement in this area helps clients from all aspects including analysis, structuring and operations.
In addition, Brian has developed a continuing practice for litigation services. Engaged by both firm clients and area attorney's clients, he has provided testimony and other litigation services by being recognized as an expert in the fields of accounting and taxation. Litigation subject matter has included damage awards, corporate transactions, business fraud and taxation issues.
