Brandy Smith, CPA, CGAP, is a Director in the P&N Accounting and Assurance Services Group.
Brandy has substantial audit experience working with entities in diverse industries including non-profits, governmental, and healthcare entities. As a Director, Brandy is responsible for planning and supervising financial statement audits, agreed-upon procedures, and regulatory compliance testing for a variety of clients. Brandy’s governmental experience includes auditing cities, school boards, hospitals, public utilities, sheriff’s offices, airports, and retirement systems. Brandy’s non-profit clients include health clinics, charter schools, and other community organizations. In addition, her client base includes many organizations that require a Single Audit under the Uniform Guidance.
Brandy has instructed trainings, both internally and externally, covering updates from the Governmental Accounting Standards Board, Financial Accounting Standards Board, and Uniform Guidance compliance requirements.
Brandy is a graduate of the 2015 New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute and a 2022 graduate of Leadership Jefferson. She also supports the local community through organizations such as the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute and Son of a Saint.
